Manga Home Entertainment and Anchor Bay have announced Ghost in the Shell 2.0 for Blu-ray. The 2.0 bit refers to a remaster by director Mamoru Oshii wherein the original animation has been “updated” with digital tweaks such as 3D imaging and new SFX for a few scenes. Hopefully this won’t entail any Greedo shooting first-type shenanigans. The Blu-ray streets on November 4th.
